Privacy notice

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to get rid of it.

Draft for legal review. This notice reflects how the site is built, but it must be reviewed by a solicitor and the ICO registration completed before launch.

Who we are

Get AI Visible is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].

The free visibility check

When you submit a domain we record that domain, the time of the request and the IP address the request came from. We use the IP address only to rate-limit the service and prevent abuse.

If you give us an email address so we can send the report, we use it to send that report and a short explanation of the findings. That is a service message rather than marketing, and it is sent on the basis of providing something you asked for.

We will only add you to our mailing list if you separately and explicitly opt in. We do not pre-tick that box, and we do not bundle it with the report.

What the check does to your website

We request publicly accessible pages only. We do not attempt to access anything behind a login, we do not submit forms, and we rate-limit our own requests so the check does not place load on your site. We identify ourselves in our user agent.

Part of the check involves requesting pages using the user agent strings of AI crawlers, in order to detect whether your CDN or firewall blocks them. This is a read-only request to a public page.

Enquiries

If you contact us we keep your name, email address, company and message so that we can reply and, where relevant, so we have a record of what was discussed.
